Faith: The Ultimate Truth of Life

“Faith”, a small word that possess divinity and dignity. Faith has ruled the world when taken as a positive notion and destroyed every segment of humanity when fooled. Being a perfect amalgamation of love, trust and humanism, it has always come with true spirit to raise humanity. It is indeed our inability to understand the depth that lies in this five lettered word.

Have a Little Faith: A true story by Mitch Albom; speaks about an eight year journey of two men - a rabbi and a pastor. It is a journey of two worlds, two communities - Christianity and Judaism, in which the meaning of FAITH can be found. In very simple terms, this book is a journey of Faith; to be born again in the heart of mankind, to recoup lost humanity and make it easier for those who are searching it in others.

With transparency, acuteness and belief, Mitch Album presents this book that serves a true story of life. It helps in exploring the mysteries of life and answering unanswered questions. The author has beautifully merged two stories at variance giving its avid readers a chance to rectify themselves.

In the story the young pastor preaches to the poor devotees in a decaying church and the old rabbi is a man who is ready to embrace death. He keeps his hope and endures during hard times realizing the importance of faith. The old rabbi had requested Album to write an eulogy which also serves the purpose of faith in living a profound life.

The book gives a spark to the hibernating soul to come out of its shell and see the world through the eyes of these two men of God.

Face Book: The Upcoming Face in Social Media Venture

Facebook, the hottest name in the social networking arena is now the most popular buzzword among the younger generation for the last six years. This popularity has signalled a red alert for Google. In fact, Facebook has superseded Google in terms of usage for social media purposes. Users now prefer Facebook instead of Orkut, the simplest reason being security and inclusion of various games and information received on the site.

Users on the site need information at the click of a button. Face book is aware of this and hence tries to update its sites everyday with a new concepts. The recent expansion in the site is the inclusion of a new software platform 'Open Graph'. This web page will not only work as a search engine but will guide users with the latest information. Face book has also joined hands with Yahoo and Microsoft, the hard core competitors of Google. This has just fueled the fire thus enhancing the battle between social network providers to boost there aggression towards Google.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, chief executive of social networking, “Open Graph is a new trans formative site which will help the users to find all new innovative ways of exploring the world of Internet”. He also added to the feature of the new website, “The chief tool will be the 'Like' icon. Users will click on the button next to an article to share it on their Facebook profiles without leaving the other website”. He is expecting more 400 million users for this new service.

This will explicitly reduce the ratings of Google in the market. Although, not much has been done to provide a privacy to the Internet users the coming innovations will do it. This is truly a battling year for Google as it has to beat out not only its ex-partner Apple but also confront Facebook which stands its way.

Earth: The Piece we are Eating Slowly

Today the 22nd of April, we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth's Day. Should we not feel remorseful for our actions Earth, the place where we live and get all the comfort of life is fading in its beauty. Does planting trees on one particular day make any difference to the devastation caused everyday?

Global Warming & Deforestation are some of the major issues which took place just because of our lack of awareness. Simply one day of respect towards Mother Nature does not do any difference to the huge crisis which is on its way. However, if seen from another perspective, in some aspects we are so sagacious that we at least tend to offer one day to our home, Earth.

It is really heart breaking to see the way we are parting with the beautiful gift of God. Sometimes knowingly and at times unknowingly, we have caused great trouble to Mother Nature. May be as the result of repercussions created by us, we are perceiving threat since the last five years. The dreadful Indonesian Tsunami attack on 26th December, 2004 killed more than 20,000 people. Recently the Haiti Earthquake on 12th January, 2010, considered as the 6th deadliest earthquake affected more than 3 millions people with 92,000 casualties. Now the sudden eruption of Eyjafjallajokull in Iceland caused a major problem in the air traffic. The nearby place was evacuated because of the rapid breakout of plumes, magma and volcanic ashes.

These major outbreaks are a result of the seeds sown by mankind, the so called unique creation of God. What a disgrace! We couldn't even handle a single planet. Whereas Earth, as recorded on the 22nd of April 2010 is providing life to 6,816,300,000 human beings. How despicable!

It is very well said that the most beautiful creation of God is 'Women' and nothing can be there in comparison to her. She is gifted with beauty, grace, softness and talent. Jewelry enhances the outer beauty which God has given her.
In the 3rd edition of Understanding Jewelery by Bennet, David & David Bennett & Daniela Mascetti, a vivid description about the fact of jewelry is given. It helps in reflecting the stylish and tasteful ornaments to match with today’s saga. With simplicity and elegance, the author, has endured the passion of women adorning it. The book has maintained a stability between modernization and lucidity.

All brands that are available in the market and online are a result of laborious artistic process. They however reflect their individuality. The fine jewelry exemplifies the fusion of vintage and vogue. Although, they are designed in an inconspicuous way, it harmonizes with the brands maintaining the unembellished charisma and unquestionable beauty.

The unique designs curved in the jewelry have taken care of these emotions and designed it perfectly to match any occasion.

The night covered with snow and the light blazing on the New Year, a perfect gift for every occasion perfectly suiting your style and taste.

Great News for Mumbaikars: IPL Semi Finals In Mumbai

Have you ever seen a different smile in the face of Mumbai people? The announcement of the Semi Final Match which is in the process of shifting from Bangalore to Mumbai has given great joy to them. The bomb near the VIP Gate of the Chinnaswamy Stadium has alarmed Bangalore under threat in the security of the Cricketers and the spectators. Though it is great news for the Mumbai yet a big bash for the security system in Bangalore.

Despite the security agency giving their assurance for holding the game in Bangalore is safe. They could not convince the foreign players. However whether it is played in Mumbai or Bangalore the spirit of sportsmanship should be there to support the players. Mumbai has always had great spectators and supporters for cricketers who played in home ground. Their enthusiasm and encouragement has also led the players to win losing matches. This is the spirit of Mumbai which always remains spirited and enlightened.

Note: The DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will now host the semifinals on 21 and 22 of April.

A New Slogan for Cricket: "We Eat IPL, We Speak IPL, We Sleep IPL"

The season's beginning of Indian Premier League or IPL from 12th March has been the main reason for men to leave offices early. This Twenty20 match laid its foundation on 18th April 2008. A simply continuous game for 46 days steals the show and our eyes remain glued to this full time entertainer for people around the world. The fact that surprises me the most is that the players are being auctioned. Auctioned! Nobody ever imagined that a time will come when players will be bought by rich industrialists and entertainers to play matches.

I am not trying to be a critical to the recent trends, just that I get amazed with the present undertaking of such an exciting game. There was a time when cricketers were not paid appropriately unless the match was won. Now, they earn in millions; What a drastic change!

Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Sastri and others who gave India the most historic win in the year 1983 struggled to take this sport from eyes to heart. A sport which would entertains the audience with a sportsman's spirit has now majorly become a convenient way of earning money. May be this is what is called change with time and as a consequence we need to flow it. It is true that we get to see all efficient players under one roof, mixed and matched. Still, being a cricket lover at a point of time in the past, it hurts me. It could be that cricket is not losing its charm but one thing is sure that the sport is losing its mission, vision & values.

In these three years of IPL matches, how many of us remember the balling by Shane Warne or the sixes by Sachin Tendulkar? The match of world cup is still fresh in the mind of many Indians. The last historic balling of Kapil Dev which changed the entire scenario is still green in our thoughts. That was what a match should be like, where cricketers did not play, they lived cricket. The spectators did not watch, they felt every motion and action running through there veins.

Watching cricket was like a worship for me, and the cricketers my beloved Gods. No more do I feel the same emotions binding me to the sport. My request to avid Cricketers is: “ Do not play Cricket, Feel it”.

You could get some more from this book on IPL that I have come across on Coralhub.
